With the development of residential industrialization, steel structures are increasingly used in buildings, factories, bridges and other projects. It has the advantages of simple construction, short construction period, factory production and on-site installation, less environmental pollution, green environmental protection, and low cost. The hoisting of steel structures directly affects the quality and safety of the entire project. Hoisting requires the use of specialized mechanical equipment, so the selection of hoisting machinery is crucial.
During the installation and construction of steel structures, the following three types of lifting machinery are often used: First, tower crane. It is often used in fixed construction sites and hoisting projects with a relatively long construction period. Its range of activities is small and has certain limitations. Second, car crane. It is often used for short-term hoisting or temporary hoisting. The construction speed is fast and it can be loaded and unloaded with the transport vehicle, but the stability is not strong enough. Third, crawler crane. It is also commonly used in fixed construction sites to meet the requirements of large workloads. It has a wide range of activities, flexibility, stability and strong safety performance.
Among the above three types of hoisting machinery, crawler cranes are used in many steel structure hoisting constructions because of their good stability and flexibility. They are the preferred mechanical equipment for steel structure construction, especially for larger-scale projects. How to choose the most suitable crawler crane based on the actual conditions of the project is the key to project construction. When selecting a crawler crane, the actual conditions on the site and its surroundings should be fully considered, combined with construction requirements and cost control, and the best crawler crane should be determined through analysis and calculation.
Take a pedestrian landscape steel trestle as an example. The steel trestle is a large suspension truss structure arch bridge. The full span of the bridge is 116.2m, the maximum single span is 78m, the width is 6m, and the total weight is 761.5t. It is divided into three parts: truss structure, arch beam, leaning tower and suspension cable. The substructure adopts cap pile foundation and steel pipe truss structural system. Based on this, the selection of crawler crane has become the key to the construction of this project, which requires the relevant personnel to attach great importance to it.
In actual projects, it can be lifted independently by one crawler crane or by multiple crawler cranes. For this project, due to restrictions on the hoisting site, one crawler crane should be used for hoisting. In the process of selecting a crawler crane, the self-weight and lifting height of the components to be hoisted, as well as cost control, should be comprehensively considered. When hoisting a steel trestle, the width of the components and the actual elevation of the ground at the hoisting site will also affect the hoisting construction. It is necessary to fully consider the ground height difference and the requirements for the bearing capacity of the foundation during hoisting in the hoisting height.
